Meet Susan

Susan Bayne is a dedicated citizen tax advocate running for the Bexar Central Appraisal District Board of Directors. She is running to improve fairness and transparency in the appraisal process and to ensure taxpayers have a voice in how their property values are assessed. A wife, mother of three, and proud grandmother of six, Susan has spent her life serving others and helping people navigate life’s challenges.

A retired psychotherapist with 30 years of experience, Susan dedicated her career to helping people overcome challenges, find solutions, and improve their lives. Her years of working with individuals and families shaped her belief in listening to people, treating everyone with fairness and dignity, and finding practical solutions to difficult problems.

Today, Susan is bringing that same commitment to service to the Bexar Central Appraisal District. She is focused on promoting transparency, accountability, and equity while working to ensure fair and accurate appraisals for all property owners. Susan believes taxpayers deserve a voice, a clear understanding of the appraisal process, and confidence that their property values are being handled fairly.
